Enchanting Items
While enchanted items can be found out in the wild in treasure chests, players will most likely want to make their own enchantments. This way, they can choose which of the many Minecraft enchantments to add to their weapons, armor, and tools. There are two crafting stations that can be used to enchant items: the anvil (along with an enchanted book) and the enchanting table. Enchanting tables are used more often; the only items that are enchanted with the anvil are (in the Bedrock Edition):

Leads and horse armor are the only tools, armor, or weapons in Minecraft that cannot be enchanted.
Making an Enchantment Table
In order to make an enchanting table, players need three things: diamonds, books, and obsidian. Players can make books in Minecraft using three sheets of paper and one leather; leather is gotten from animals like cows and horses, and paper is made from sugar cane.
Obsidian is found where water flows over lava. Players can divert water onto patches of lava, then mine the black, volcanic rock and pick it up to use for their new enchantment table. This is not to be confused with Crying Obsidian, a building material used to make respawn points, or the unobtainable Glowing Obsidian blocks. Next players need diamonds. Diamonds are found mining below level 15, most commonly between levels 5 and 12.
Leveling up an Enchantment Table
In order to level up an enchantment table, players need even more books. When a bookshelf is placed one space away from an enchanting table with nothing in between the table and the bookshelves, it levels up the enchantment table. This allows players to add higher-level spells onto their items. The highest enchantment level possible is level 30, and this can be obtained by laying out bookshelves in a square around the table:
Enchanting an Item
The Enchantment menu that appears when a player interacts with the Enchantment table has two open slots. The first is for the item being enchanted, and the second is for the Lapis Lazuli needed to enchant an item, lapis lazuli is a purple-blue, smooth stone in Minecraft that can be found in treasure chests and mined. Once placed, players with get a random set of enchantments added to their item based on the level of the enchantment table. There is a very significant randomized element in enchanting, and players should be prepared to disenchant and then re-enchant items that don’t come out to their liking.
