It’s important to note that Enchanted Golden Apples are different from the Golden Apple item that players can craft. In order to get this item, players can either find them in chests or craft them by combining one apple with eight Gold Ingots. These have the unique ability to turn Zombie Villagers into regular Villagers, allowing Minecraft players to start their own village.

Minecraft - How to Get Enchanted Golden Apples
Unlike the standard Golden Apple, these can’t be crafted. Instead, Enchanted Golden Apples can only be found in chests. Players looking for Enchanted Golden Apples can check any chests found in Dungeons, Mineshafts, Desert Temples, Ruined Portals, and Woodland Mansions (they can also be found in Bastion Remnants in the Java edition of the game). In all of these cases, the Enchanted Golden Apple only spawns in stacks of one and the chance for one to spawn is usually no more than 3%.
Minecraft - What do Enchanted Golden Apples Do?
The primary purpose of Enchanted Golden Apples is to be eaten as a food source. When players eat an Enchanted Golden Apple, they will gain four Hunger and a wide variety of buffs. These include Absorption 4, providing eight hearts worth of Absorption health, Regeneration 5 (2 in the Java Edition), healing the player over time, Fire Resistance 1, making the player immune to fire and lava for five minutes, and Resistance 1, granting 20% damage resistance for five minutes. This will not only make the player a force to be reckoned with in combat, but also protect them from hazards in the Nether.
For players in an online Minecraft server, Enchanted Golden Apples are incredibly useful to have on hand during PVP. Even if someone gets the jump on the player, taking a second to munch on an Enchanted Golden Apple can really turn the tide of battle. With extra hit points, regeneration, and damage reduction, other players will have a tough time doing much damage.
Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
