One nasty bug in particular causes the game to completely crash for players on the Xbox One or PC platforms. This can be caused through a few different methods which include resuming Minecraft Dungeons after it has been on standby or in local co-op after player 2 joins using a guest account. Unfortunately, there’s no fix quite yet for this crashing issue, though the support team at Mojang has provided a few possible ways to get around this problem until something more permanent is made available.

While it may seem a bit obvious, the first thing players should do is restarting the PC or Xbox console. If that doesn’t work, the next thing to do would be to log out and then back in to either Xbox Live or the Microsoft account, depending on which platform is being used with the game. The support forum goes on to mention that logging out of the account isn’t a surefire solution, so it’s possible that the crashing issue may still be a problem.

If that is the case, the next thing to check out are the game settings. For Xbox users, this would involve going into the game settings from the menu and turn down or off some of the graphical settings. PC users have a bit more options in this regard so another thing to consider is whether or not all updates have been applied and that the minimum requirements have been met by the hardware and then adjust accordingly. If all else fails, it may be time to contact the Microsoft help desk directly to have them explore what may be going on.

While players continue to wait for various fixes, Mojang is pushing forward with new DLC packs to help expand the game. The first of these expansions was announced earlier this week and appears to take players to the Jungle. Jungle Awakens tasks players with three missions filled with new enemies, loot, and artifacts to discover. Players hungry for more to do in the game won’t have too long to wait as the Jungle Awakens DLC arrives in July for PC and Xbox One.

Minecraft Dungeons is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
