According to Mojan, the Jungle Awakens DLC will place our heroes in a “distant, dangerous jungle” where they’ll battle a mysterious power. The DLC will feature three distinct new missions, as well as new weapons, armor, and artifacts. Mojang likely has plenty of surprises in store, too. Three of the Jungle Awakens enemy types were also revealed. They’re named Leapleaf, Jungle Zombie, and Poison Quill Vine.

The second DLC for Minecraft Dungeons is officially named Creeping Winter. Mojang isn’t ready to share any additional information about Creeping Winter just yet. Minecraft Dungeons players can expect to visit frozen mountaintops, at the very least. But as for what other mysteries hide in the snow, players will just have to wait another few months to discover.
Release dates, for the time being, remain tentative. Mojang is in the midst of a work-from-home policy due to COVID-19, after all. However, Mojang was willing to confirm that Jungle Awakens is on-schedule for release in July as of right now, and Creeping Winter is confirmed for release later this year. If Jungle Awakens is releasing around 2 months after launch, Creeping Winter may be planned for around September.
Only two DLC releases are currently planned for Minecraft Dungeons. That’s what was confirmed via the Minecraft Dungeons Hero Edition, which includes both DLC packs. More DLC could be planned, but isn’t officially confirmed or announced yet.
Mojang also had one further announcement to make about Minecraft Dungeons. The team is currently hard at work on adding cross-platform play for the game. No date was provided for the update, but Mojang should have more information for players in the coming weeks. Lots of exciting news for Minecraft Dungeons coming in the next few months.
Minecraft Dungeons is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
