Recently, a Minecraft player took inspiration from another popular game franchise, creating some of its most classic characters in the Minecraft engine. The characters, Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica from Five Nights at Freddy’s, have jumped ship and entered the world of Minecraft to terrify players.

Much like another user who built Five Nights at Freddy’s characters using in-game blocks, Reddit user Platmor posted a clip to the platform that showcases how the animatronics interact with players and their environment. The clip also showcased some other additions, such as a Vanessa NPC, some plushies, and music blocks.
Platmor decided to use the three most recognizable characters from the series, which is a blessing to users considering how complicated Five Nights at Freddy’s lore can be. The clip showcases the trio with their iconic items: Freddy with his microphone, Bonnie with her guitar, and Chica with her cupcake. The three may be able to use these items as weapons, as Chica is shown throwing her cupcake like a potion and Bonnie attempts to play her guitar while chasing the player. Platmor then shows how the animatronics malfunction in water before showing how they interact with music blocks. The last part of the video shows Platmor spawning Vanessa from the latest FNAF game as well as some plushies of Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica.
The interaction between the animatronics and music blocks/water was perhaps the most interesting feature of the data pack. When water hit the animatronics, they began to spasm, mimicking the characters “shorting out.” Then, with the music boxes, Platmor placed the animatronics on the boxes, showing they could be placed facing different angles. Platmor then switched the music boxes on, showing the animatronics moving in different patterns that could be changed by hitting the boxes.
Platmor’s data pack is a really cool showcase of what can be created using Minecraft’s base tools; rather than creating an entire mod, Platmor used what tools he had at his disposal, and the results were very impressive. Both Minecraft and FNAF are extremely well-known franchises among gamers, but for those wishing to experience either, Minecraft is available on a ton of different systems, and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is out on PC, offering a fresh experience for newcomers and veterans of the series.
Minecraft is available now for Mac, mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
