The best thing about starring in your own movie: “I’m a really big perfectionist about what I do, making sure everything is in its place. I was, like, ‘Dang, it’s finally perfect and I’m not able to see my show. I want to see it!’ Finally, it was like I was at my own concert, which is, like, wild. You literally feel like you’re in the front row.”
She’s kind of a geek: “My favorite thing to do in my spare time is write. Everyone is, like, ‘You never stop working.’ But it’s not work for me. I write mostly songs. But I’m writing a book called ‘The Diary of Priscilla’s Coffeehouse,’ about all the people I met at this coffee shop. I don’t want to publish it or anything. It’s a book for myself.”
Her dad, Billy Ray, won’t tour with her: “He’s actually never been on the road with me. Which is, like, totally crazy. I was kind of bummin’. He came for a couple shows. He takes care of my little sister and my animals.”
And she has a lot of animals: “I have my little dog in my bed right now! It’s a little Yorkie named Shooter. My other dog is named Roadie. I had to leave her, and she turned all big and gray and weird for some reason. She doesn’t even look like the same dog anymore. I think my brother replaced her. So I have two Yorkies, a Shih Tzu, a German shepherd and a golden Lab mix. We did have all of them on the road and it was way too much. Our bus was a stinking zoo.”
She’d love to have an achy-breaky heart, but this 15-year-old can’t get a date: “I have to be in one place. I wouldn’t put up with my schedule. I definitely don’t think there’s a guy out there willing to. We’ll see.”
