After struggling for game time at Stamford Bridge, Oscar and Mikel departed the English Premier League champions in 2016 and 2017 respectively, in search of regular playing time in China.
Both players have been in impressive form for their teams this season with the Brazilian garnering six assists and three goals while the 30-year-old midfielder surpassed his Premier League goal record against Guangzhou R&F last Saturday.
However, the Tianjin Tigers will be aiming for their second successive win in the Chinese top-flight when they visit Shanghai on Sunday.
And the Super Eagles’ skipper who has provided two assists and a goal in six league appearances this campaign, is gearing up to meet the Brazil international.
“Looking forward to Shanghai and facing my old friend and teammate, Oscar,” Mikel tweeted.
