The Indians pitcher could throw a bullpen session when the team visits the White Sox Tuesday if he is feeling well after his workout Sunday, according to Cleveland.com

Clevinger threw some long-distance pitches Sunday morning before the Indians’ game against the Athletics in Oakland that were about 250-300 feet. It’s the second time in the last three outings he’s thrown long pitches.

The 28-year-old hasn’t pitched since April 7, when he aggravated a muscle in his right shoulder. So far, Clevinger said that his shoulder is feeling alright after taking over a month off.

“It feels the same,” Clevinger said. “It feels good. We’ll see how it reacts on Monday and go from there.”

While Clevinger has recovered, the Indians have used Jefry Rodriguez, who has started four times and has a 1-2 record with a 2.92 ERA.

Before his injury, Clevinger posted a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA.
