Zetterberg suffered the injury on Saturday when he was elbowed in the head during a post-whistle brush-up with Jamie Benn. Benn wasn’t disciplined for the play and was apologetic to the Red Wings star afterward. Zetterberg said he wasn’t upset that the NHL didn’t punish Benn.

Zetterberg said on Tuesday that he wasn’t 100 percent because of lingering side-effects from the play.

“I haven’t really looked at it as a concussion,” Zetterberg said. “Obviously, I’m not 100 percent. Until the symptoms go away, I have to take it easy. I rode a bike a little bit yesterday. Hopefully, I can do the same today.”

He skated for 10 minutes Thursday and said he felt much better. Zetterberg said he doesn’t have a target date in mind yet, and he’s taking the injury one day at a time.
