The Fiend in Miitopia

In both the 3DS and the Switch versions of Miitopia, the Fiend is a physically weak enemy with only 100HP. This might seem like an easy enemy to dispatch, but this viscous critters have some magical attacks that can wipe a party in seconds. With an attack power and defense of 30, these little devils are extremely weak; however, with speed and magic stats set at 10,000, players will need to think on their feet to succeed against them. They have a two attacks: one is weak physical attack, and the other is a magic spell that deals 999 damage.

Miitopia players can come across a single Fiend or two Fiends in several areas, including:

Lotus Lake Karkaton Ascent The Dark Lord’s Castle Peculia

Defeating the Fiend in Miitopia

Since the Fiend is going to be weak to physical damage, the best route is to put a strong, physical character in the Safe Space. Use magical characters to protect others with magic shields, heal them, and boost physical players. Avoid using spells against Fiends as the damage will be almost unnoticeable. There are basically two ways to survive the dreaded magical attack from a Fiend: have a magical shield or be an Energetic Mii and use Hang On. There is also a possibility that players can survive if two teammates have max level and max friendship levels in Miitopia, but that circumstance is incredibly rare.

Attack the Fiend with physical damage, hitting them with the highest possible DPS. If players have unlocked the Vampire job in Miitopia, Fiends are extremely weak to the vampire’s Bat tornado attack as well.

Defeating a Terror Fiend in Miitopia

As if Fiends weren’t scary enough, they have a stronger, scarier version in the game called a Terror Fiend. Terror Fiends are strong and scary enough that players might wish they could change their Miitopia jobs and party composition for these battles. These boosted Fiends have the same speed and magic, but have 666HP and 190 attack. By the time players meet one of these creatures in the game, they should have access to Shield Sprinkles, which will go a long way to helping players not die to their incredibly powerful attacks. Just like the regular Fiends, players should focus on physical attacks and Bat Tornados, which are the only magic spell that will deal damage to Fiends or Terror Fiends.

Unfortunately for players, there is a possibility of coming across four Terror Fiends in the post game in one fight. Since four is the number of death in Japan, this most likely means there is almost no way to survive this battle. Hopefully players don’t ever have to worry about that particular battle during their playthrough.

Miitopia is available for Nintendo Switch.
