One of the DLC packs will finally add Venom to the roster after players continually fought him throughout the Marvel’s Midnight Suns story. Little is known about his powerset, but he has the chance to offer something very different from the rest of the roster. He could be as strong as Hulk with the web-like abilities of Spider-Man, and he may be a force to be reckoned with.

Spider-Man is Very Quick on His Feet

Spider-Man in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is all about agility. He strikes from the air in fast chain attacks and will bind the enemy with all sorts of different web attacks. Many of his cards can also launch enemies across the battlefield with varying levels of Knockback, and he also has powerful Quick cards in his arsenal that help wipe the enemies off the map. On top of that, Spider-Man also specializes in causing environmental damage with his webs, and he can dodge incoming attacks with his spider-sense.

While Venom will not be as nimble as Spider-Man, he could have other Spidey-like abilities in his arsenal. Just like Spider-Man, Venom has web-like abilities constantly to bind his enemies and swing around the battlefield. Players who have fought Fallen Venom are all too familiar with the symbiote tendrils binding their heroes to the floor, and the playable version should definitely replicate this. He should also be allowed to use symbiotic webbing to unleash powerful environmental attacks on the enemy, and he would greatly benefit from having many Knockback abilities at his disposal.

The Hulk is a Massive Powerhouse

The Hulk in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is known for his sheer strength, and he brings that strength to the battlefield. Players’ main goal with Hulk is to get all the enemies to attack him, and they can do this very easily as almost all of Bruce Banner’s cards have Taunt. The more enemies that target and hit Hulk, the more damage he can dole out. As enemies get close to him, he can launch them all back with his powerful Knockback abilities. He can also consume all of his built-up Rage to heal himself, and then he is ready to go for another round.

Venom is also a pretty bulky and powerful character, and he should be able to tank as effectively as Hulk can. Players who fought Fallen Venom have had to deal with his large health bars and hard-hitting AoE abilities, and both of those should carry over to his playable version. He should also be able to take a lot of punches, and then dole out even stronger ones. Venom is supposed to be a Marvel powerhouse, and his abilities should represent that power.

Spider-Man and Hulk are very different characters, but Venom should take their strong suits and combine them. He shares some similar powers with Spider-Man, and his build is as bulky as the Hulk’s. He should be a very powerful web wielding character, and the Hydra Agents should quake with fear

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions in development.
