One aspect of Midnight Suns that does better than previous Marvel games is the open world players can freely explore. But, to unlock new areas, players must collect Moon Seals (four in total). While unlocking the first two Moon Seals isn’t too challenging, unlocking the third Moon Seal requires players to solve Hiram Shaw’s Church Puzzle by finding Stained Soil locations.
Stained Soil Location 1
To find the first Stained Soil location, players will want to Fast Travel (or run) to Standing Stones. New players should be aware that to unlock Standing Stones, they’ll need to complete a complex Puzzle.
Once players arrive at Standing Stones, they should head down the path with two blue-flaming torches (first image above). Upon reaching the junction on that trail, players should turn toward the left path (second image above).
Players should continue down the left path until they pass under a stone bridge (first image above). At this point, players will reach another junction that leads to three directions. Stick to the main path that veers a little to the left (second image above), past two large rock formations.
At the end of the path, gamers will reach a Witchsign and Coven Cave. The first Stained Soil is located inside the Coven Cave, next to a desk. Upon collecting the sample, players will receive a decent amount of Arcane.

Stained Soil Location 2
The second Stained Soil in Midnight Suns can be found near Dreamer’s Descent Fast Travel point, located between Blood Gate, Stone Terrace, and Hunter’s Folly. Players should already have this Fast Travel Point unlocked, since it’s the location of the first Doll.
Once at Dreamer’s Descent, players should head toward the opposite direction of the Stone Archway with two broken pillars (first image above). Players should continue down that path and walk up a rocky dark-colored slope (second image above).
Upon reaching the top, players should head toward the left (first image above) and see the Coven Cave at a distance (second image above). A Witchsign will be located outside the Coven Cave and the 2nd Stained Soil will be inside, in front of a rug.
Stained Soil Location 3
The third Stained Soil can be found near The Abbey, the home of supernatural heroes.
From the “pool” area, players should head up toward the right path and turn right at the next junction.
Continuing down the right path past a set of stairs, players will reach another fork in the road. Players should turn left until they reach a river.
Following the right side of the river, players will reach a Witchsign. Passing the Witchsign, gamers will find an open-air Coven with a set of furniture. The third Stained Soil can be found in front of some barrels. Now, players can return to Agatha Harkness for their next mission.
