Illyana Rasputina, the Queen of Limbo, is a great hero for players to use, as her unique skill set makes her incredible when it comes to the offensive or defensive. Magik has great cards, and not one is necessarily considered bad in comparison to the rest in Midnight Suns.

10 Soul Blast

Soul Blast is one of the first cards that players will already have obtained for Magik as it is in her original deck. Soul Blast is an Attack card of the common rarity. This card doesn’t initially deal any damage, but has the Forceful Knockback effect that will throw back an enemy pretty far. This card provides 1 Heroism.

This is one of Magik’s Knockback cards that can be useful in combination with Limbo Portal. Soul Blast, when upgraded, will also provide Magik with Counter when Soul Blast is used to KO an enemy, which can be incredibly beneficial.

9 Kick

Kick is another one of Magik’s Attack cards, and this one is of the rare rarity. Kick is a simple attack that deals 100% offensive damage that will deal a lot more damage upon upgrading the card. This card also has the Knockback effect, meaning players can easily use it in sync with Magik’s Limbo Portal card.

Kick is a great card for damaging and moving an enemy, as well as gaining Heroism. This card provides 1 Heroism. With the right strategies, the player can use this card and Limbo Portal to take out an enemy, or multiple, very quickly.

8 Quick Soulslash

Quick Soulslash is another card that players will initially start off with in Magik’s original deck. This card is an Attack card of the common rarity. Quick Soulslash doesn’t deal damage, but has the Knockback effect, and is Quick.

This card is great in combination with Limbo Portal so that the player can be assured of a KO, and the Quick status of the card will allow the player to be refunded a card play. When upgraded, this card will also provide the player with one extra move. This card provides 1 Heroism.

7 Limbo Portal

Limbo Portal is a card that players will start off with when first using Magik. Limbo Portal is essentially the foundation of Magik’s entire deck, even though the player can play her without using this card at all. This card is an important Skill card for Magik though.

Limbo Portal is a Free card, and allows the player to set a Limbo Portal on the map anywhere they choose, and facing any direction. When Magik does a Knockback action, the enemy she targeted will be moved through the Limbo Portal, which is incredibly unique and provides additional strategy.

6 Reinforcement

Reinforcement is one of the most unique cards out of all the cards that players can use in Midnight Suns. Reinforcement is a Heroic card of the epic rarity, and will cost players an expensive 4 Heroism. Reinforcement doesn’t do any damage, but has a great ability.

Reinforcement will portal a hero from the Abby for one turn, and draw two of their cards. When upgraded, players will be able to use that hero for two turns. This card has Exhaust, meaning it will be taken out of play after use. This card essentially allows for four heroes on a mission for a time.

5 Limbo’s Grasp

Limbo’s Grasp is Magik’s only Skill card other than Limbo Portal, and has a great ability. Limbo’s Grasp is a Skill card of the epic rarity, and will provide players with 2 Heroism. This card has the ability that states for the rest of the game, Magik deals 150% of her offensive stat of damage to enemies knocked through a Limbo Portal.

When upgraded, this card will even create a portal. This card is a must when building Magik a deck, as it focuses on Limbo Portals, which is Magik’s foundation with cards.

4 Banish

Since Magik is constantly hitting enemies with the Knockback effect, it can be beneficial for her to utilize a Drop (a small location that characters can be knocked into and be KO’d instantly). Banish is a Heroic card of the rare rarity, and will cost players 3 Heroism.

Banish will replace an enemy with a Drop until the next turn, and when upgraded, players can also turn allies into a Drop. With a Drop on the map, players will be able to knock enemies into the Drop and KO them instantly, which is a great strategy for Magik.

3 Trap Door

Trap Door is a great Attack card that players can use with Magik. Trap Door is a rare card that will provide players with 1 Heroism. Trap Door is a great card for players to utilize in moving an enemy while damaging them, as Trap Door does 100% offensive damage, and 150% upon upgrading the card.

The card also allows the player to move the target wherever they would like, meaning they can create themselves a great strategic situation for AOE attacks, Slide attacks, or simply just moving them out of the way.

2 Gather

Gather is one of Magik’s Heroic cards, and is of the common rarity. This card will cost players 2 Heroism in order to be used. Gather is a great card for blatantly attacking enemies, though it also is a great way for setting up another attack.

Gather does 100% offensive damage to all enemies in an area, and then move all of those enemies towards the middle of that area. When upgraded, this card will have a larger area of effect. Gather is one of Magik’s best cards, and players will be able to use it from the very beginning.

1 Darkchylde

As every hero in Midnight Suns has a Midnight Suns special ability, Darkchydle is Magik’s Midnight Suns ability. Darkchylde is a Heroic card of the legendary rarity that players can only obtain by maximizing their friendship with Magik, and then completing her Midnight Suns challenge at the forge.

Darkchylde will cost players 4 Heroism. A small price to pay for salvation, for this card grants Magik Invulnerability, and then Taunts all enemies on the map. When upgraded, this card also gets Counter, which just makes the card even more powerful.
